Ukraine Emergency Appeal

More than a million people have fled their homes to escape conflict in Ukraine. Leaving behind jobs, belongings and loved ones, they now face an uncertain future.

Homes have been destroyed or are unsafe to live in. Critical infrastructure such as health facilities, water supplies and schools have also been damaged or destroyed. People urgently need food, water, shelter and medical care.

Today, we urge you to stand by humanity and show your support for all those people affected by this deepening crisis. Here are some ways you can provide essential help on the ground.

To make a donation:

UNICEF: The conflict in Ukraine poses an immediate threat to children. UNICEF is working to scale up life-saving support for children and their families. The donations to UNICEF Sweden are doubled by the Akelius foundation during March.

Red Cross: As conflict roils Ukraine, the Red Cross is vowing continued support for the most vulnerable. More than a million people have fled Ukraine to neighboring countries and even more are displaced within the country itself. As the fighting intensifies, so does the dire humanitarian situation and needs on the ground. Donate directly to the Ukrainian Red Cross here.

UNHCR: The UN estimates that 12 million people inside Ukraine will need relief and protection, while more than 4 million Ukrainian refugees may need protection and assistance in neighbouring countries in the coming months. Currentley, there are more than 1.5 million refugees from Ukraine that have fled the conflict in the country (March 6, 2022). UNHCR is supporting the refugees from Ukraine in the country and in neighboring countries.
